Biography

Lewis Robert Patrick was born on 27 February 1824 at near Watson in Charlestown Township, Clark County, Indiana.1,2,3,4,4,5 He was born on 27 February 1824.6 He was born on 27 February 1827. He and Margaret Ann Prather were married on 6 November 1845 in Clark County, Indiana.3,4,7,5,8 He died on 27 June 1905 at age 81 in Watson, Clark County, Indiana. WATSON FARMER DIED TODAY AT EIGHTY-ONE, Louis Patrick, a farmer of the Watson neighborhood, died this morning soon after 7 o'clock, the end coming somewhat suddenly though long expected. He had been failing for months with a chronic trouble but was able to be around end was out as recently as last week.

Mr. Patrick was over 81 years of age and had lived in the Watson neighborhood all his life. He is suvived by his wife and eight children as follows: George Patrick, who lived at home with his father; Thomas Patrick, who recently removed to Bedford, ind; John Patrick, of Sellersburg, Misses Ella and Sophia Patrick, who live at home; Mrs. Annie Smith who is with her brother at Bedford; Mrs. Lizzie Hole, of Vermon, Ind; and Mrs. jane Prall, ow Iowa.

Mr. Patrick joined New Chapel church in 1839 under the preaching of William Daniel and he was a faithful member of the church from that time till the day of his death. He was well known to many in this city especially among the older folk. For the past two years he had been unable to get into the city on a count of his failing health. W. S. Jacobs of this city was a boyhood companion of Mr. Patrick adn their friendship persisted through life.

Funeral arrangements have not been made but it will probably by Thursday from New Chapel church and burial will be [too dark to read].4,5,9
