Do you know much about Elizabeth Bennett who married WilliamCammack. Several of their kids went to Whitier, California which is wherea lot of Quakers were. (Including Richard Nixon) Both of Mary CCammack's husbands, Amos Cook and Nele Davis were affiliated with the"Friends" church. There are some interesting articles of thecongregation Springdale , and West Branch Iowa. That town was a powerplayer in the underground railroad in helping runaway slaves. Just aninteresting side line. Amos Cook's parents, Daniel and Hannah (Hester)Cook were involved and show up on membership lists. i am attaching the1880 census which shows Nele (Nile) Davis and Mary shortly after they weremarried and their daughter Elvi Myrtle was about 3. I didn't know she hada daughter before. But on the 1900 census they are in Whitier and thechild has died sometime before that. In 1880, her brother William isliving with them, and in 1900 her sister Martha is living with them. Ikeep trying to find descendants down to our generation in hope of finding moreDNA connections. Ooops, the 1900 one should read Mary Cammack Davisinstead of Bennett. Her mom was Elizabeth Bennett.

She was 76. Mrs. Tipton was born Jan 22, 1924, in Lincoln, Ill. She moved to Kingman in 1956 from El Cajon, Calif. She worked as a clerk for both Mohave County and the City of Kingman. Mrs. Tipton is survived by; two sons, Gerald Lee Tipton of Merritt Island, Fla., and Steven Scott Tipton of Tucson, AZ; a brother, Albert Bower of Concord, Calif.; six grandchildren; and one great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Field Tipton. Funeral services were held Friday Sept. 15, 2000, at Sutton Memorial Funeral Home with the Rev. Gary Rucker officiating. Burial was at Mountain View Cemetery.
