Melchor Bossart was born on 20 December 1797.¹ He was born on 30 March 1798 in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.^2,3 He was born in 1804 in Pennsylvania.⁴ He and Barbara Neff were married on 23 September 1823 in Tuscarawas County, OhioG.^5,6,7 He died on 15 September 1857 at age 59.¹ He died on 27 December 1863 at age 65.⁵ He was buried on 15 September 1857 at Neihart Cemetery in Jefferson Township, Owens County, Indiana.¹ He was buried on 27 December 1862 in Jefferson Township, Owens County, Ohio. Neilhart Cemetery⁸

Melchor Bossart was also known as Melchior Bossert. He was also known as John Michael Bossert. He was also known as Melchior Buzzard. He was baptized on 30 March 1798 at St. John's Lutheran and Reformed Church in Mount Pleasant Township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.^2,3 He appeared in the census in 1850 in Walnut Creek Township, Holmes County, Ohio.⁹ He appeared in the census in 1860 in Jefferson Township, Owens County, Indiana.⁴ Research Note:. Both the 1850 census and the cemetery stone indicate that the Malachi was born in 1803.

The Malachi that I am looking for was born in 1797. It's probably that these are NOT the same person.
