Fannie Quigley was born in February 1867 in Drakesville, Page County, Iowa. In 1860 her parents lived in Drakesville, Iowa and in 1870 they had moved to Missouri. So although it is possible that her mother went back to Mobile for the birth of Fannie, it's more likely that she was born in Iowa, as the census records show. Her grandmother, Deborah Quigley was living either in Ohio or Missouri in 1867, so it's very unlikely that Fannie was born in Mobile.1,2,3,4,5,6 She was born on 17 February 1867 in Mobile, Mobile County, Alabama.7 She was born in 1868 in Iowa.8 Andrew Howard Law and she were married in 1891.2,9,10,4,11,5,12 She witnessed the death of Julia Ann Quigley on 30 December 1908 in Thornsburg, Hayes, Nebraska.13,14,15,6 Fannie Quigley died on 9 March 1920 at age 53 in Ingelwood, Los Angeles, California.7,16 She was buried after 9 March 1920 in Long Beach, Los Angeles County, California.3

Biography

Horace C. Quigley was born in 1858 in Iowa.1 He was born in February 1859 in Ohio.2 He was born on 2 February 1859 in Drakesville, Davis County, Iowa.3,4,5,6,7,8,9,5,10 He was born on 25 January 1861 in Drakesville, Davis County, Iowa.3,11 He and Luella Nell Donaldson were married on 25 December 1883 in Drakesville, Davis County, Iowa.3,12,10 He and Luella Nell Donaldson were married on 3 January 1884.13,2 He died between 1860 and 1861. Julia's obituary says that she was the mother of 9 children, 7 of whom survive her (1908). "Left a widow at thirty-eight with a family of eight small children in the woods of Missouri . . ." My surmisal is that one of the children died before she migrated from Missouri (1880).

He was alive in the 1860 census. His brother, Horace Clay Quigley was born in 1861 -- probably named after him, since he must have recently passed on.
