After ele.... suffering Mrs. John R. Nich.... at her home south of Springfield at 9:30 Saturday night. Heart trouble was the principal cause of her demise. The maiden name of the deceased was Jane Stewart, and she was born at Salem, Ind., April 27, 1842. Ten years later the family moved to Iowa. May... 1860, she was united in marriage to John R. Nicholson, and a month later came to Sarpy county where she has since made her home. Her long residence in this vicinity made friends forever of all the early settlers and older generation, all of who experienced a feeling of sadness at the passing of this worthy woman. Mrs. Nicholson was the mother of twelve children, seven of whom are living. They are E. B., J. B., Henry, John, Thomas and George Nicholson and Mrs. Alvin Ball. Besides the children her husband and one sister, Mrs. Fields, who is the last of their family to survive Mrs. Nicholson. Funeral services were held from the residence at 1 o'clock Tuesday, conducted by Rev. Triplett. Interment was made to the Mound cemetery, south of the Buffalo school house.
