Elisabeth Pfershing was born about 1800.1 Thomas Winters and she were married. Abraham Altman and she were married. Eli Armel and she were married in 1830 in Unity Township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. This first-hand information verifies that this Elizabeth Pershing was the daughter of Daniel Pershing and that she married Eli Armel.2,2 Michael Rischel and she were married in 1857 in Wayne County, Ohio.2,2 She died after 7 September 1838. The Elizabeth/Betsey, a child of Daniel Pershing is still alive in 1838, as we is a legatee in her father's will.2 She was buried at Smith Graveyard.2 She was buried at Milliron Graveyard.2

John Ermel was born on 17 April 1748 in York County, Pennsylvania. He was born on 19 April 1749 in Hfman, Middlesex County, New Jersey. He was born about 1756. He witnessed the birth of John Winter on 12 June 1780 in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.1,2,3 John Ermel and Elizabeth Pershing were married in 1776 in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.4 He died in 1812.4 He died in 1828 in Unity Township, Westmoreland, Pennsylvania.
John Ermel was also known as Johanes Wilhelm Armel. He was also known as William John Armel. He was a grantee of on 27 December 1775 of in Sewickley township, Westmoreland, Pennsylvania.5 He was moved to about 1776 in Unity Township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. According to a family history, John W Armel came with his brother, Daniel, from York or Franklin County, PA to Westmoreland County, PA sometime prior to 1776 and settled near the Manor of Sewickley in Mt Pleasant Twp (now Pleasant Unity, Unity Twp).

[Since Franklin county didn't exist in 1776, it would have been York county.]
He appeared in the census in 1790 in Unity Township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.6
