Biography

Conrad Pershing was born on 23 May 1767 in York County, Pennsylvania.1 He and Mary Altman were married between 27 March 1792 and 26 January 1803 in Pennsylvania.2 He and Mary Altman were married on 3 April 1792. He and Mary Altman were married on 23 April 1793 in Coventry, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. He witnessed the death of Daniel Ermel, Sr., between 24 August 1805 and 24 April 1806 in Unity Township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.3 Conrad Pershing died on 28 March 1843 at age 75 in Unity Township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.1
Conrad Pershing was also known as Conrad Pfershing. He had person sources.4,1 Conrad Pershing was in Farmer, Circuit Methodist Preacher. He witnessed the taxed of Frederick Pfershing in 1792 in Unity Township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.5 Conrad Pershing witnessed the land transaction of Frederick Pfershing to Maria Elizabeth Weygandt on 23 March 1792 of in Unity Township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.2 Conrad Pershing was a grantee of on 23 March 1792 of in Unity Township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.2 He was single on 26 March 1792. He was a grantee of on 16 September 1792 of in Unity Township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.26,5 He witnessed the taxed of Peter Frederick Pershing in 1798 in Mount Pleasant Township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.7 Conrad Pershing witnessed the probate of the estate of on 8 April 1800 in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.2 He witnessed the taxed of Christian Pershing, Senior, in 1802 in Unity Township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. Assessed on only 60 acres, whereas his brother, Conrad was assessed on 250 acres.5 Conrad Pershing witnessed the land transaction of Christian Pershing, Senior, on 26 January 1803 of in Unity Township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.2 In Daniel Ermel, Sr.'s will dated on 24 August 1805 in Unity Township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, Conrad Pershing was named as executor.3,8,5 He appeared on the census of in 1810 in the household of Christian Pershing, Senior, in Unity Township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. George Buzzard is listed with a wife, one daughter and 3 sons. That would indicate that Either Catherine (1808) died before 1810 or Susanna (1809) did. At this point, I show Susanna married to Lewis Putt in Tuscarawas county, Ohio; so she probably was not the deceased daughter. With only 3 sons showing and other indications, I believe that George Vetter Bossart was the deceased son by 1810.4,9 Conrad Pershing appeared in the census in 1820 in Unity Township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.10 He had his estate probated between 2 February 1843 and 7 April 1843 in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.5
