But, I was wondering about 2 things. There was a Caleb Huff whomarried a Latitia Downing. She was born about 1773 in Maryland.There isan extensive Downing Genealogy on the web but never a mention of any childrenthat she and Caleb may have had. The Downing family was prominant in Pikecounty and later moved to Madison county, near London, Ohio. Theage and location fits very well. On a land transaction in Pikecounty though, it says Caleb Huff's wife is Elizabeth. This could be a secondwife and perhaps the mother of his children. Latitia's brother, FrancesWoodward Downing and his wife Elizabeth Foster named one of their sons, CalebHuff Downing. I thought this very unusual.
